Every Halloween, my guy likes to order a big box of stuff from Oriental Trading to hand out in addition to candy. We get quite a few trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood and most people do a fair bit of decorating. Given the current state of obesity in America – and growing numbers of obese children – we try to do something a little different and hand out fun pocket toys as well.
This makes our house a fairly popular stopping place for the kids and we usually enjoy seeing all the costumes and bright faces.
This year, when the box came in, we got out the big plastic cauldron and started emptying all the toys into it.
Max is a big help with these endeavors- he kept knocking the cars onto the floor.
Emily didn’t really like the speedy little race cars:
… but after some impromptu testing on the hardwood floors, we deemed the cars pretty cool.
All in all, it was a successful Halloween!
