Pre-Christmas trip to Virginia

My sister and I decided to head out and see our parents before Christmas … of course, we started out with a great idea: a gingerita, which is a Ginger Margarita. We had this in the Charlotte airport. We shared one yummy drink.

I have been working on the cowl with my lovely skein of yarn:

We enjoyed the hell out of the small town stuff in this town too. Like these cute little deer:

Isn’t this little family sweet?

We visited the Hotel Roanoke to see their Christmas tree display, which is a local competition.

… and the individual trees are so creative.

Oh gosh, here is the fireplace in the hotel. Very well decorated.

We also had some lovely drinks in the Pine Room.

Then due to bad weather, we had to stay another day … oh darn!
