Seriously sick of the rain and hail and snow

When is it going to be Spring already? Yesterday, we had a warm-ish day but it rained and hailed in the afternoon. Today, it didn’t even give us a hint of hope. It just started the thunderstorm before dawn and it’s been raining all morning.

Blech!

Colorado lawn drenched in rain

Everything is soaked through and through. I know I’m supposed to be happy about this, but I just can’t be. I need the sun and a little warmth would be such a treat.

I had to turn on the heat again (sorry honey) because it’s freezing in here.

Emily has given up too.

Emily is too cold

So has Max.

Max is cold too

I am grateful for having a warm comfortable home and a roof to stay dry under, but I would appreciate a halt in the regular drenchings. If I didn’t live on a big hill, I’d be worried about flooding.

None of this bodes well for our planned ascent of Mt. Quandary this weekend either. All of the rain and hail down here means fresh snow up there. This could be a repeat of the multiple attempts to climb Huron last year.

Once again I say Blech!

oooh, I love your pond! Would you consider a post about your back yard? It looks a little similar to ours (but we’re in Minnesota) with the lower to the ground deck and wild view. We haven’t done much to our landscaping and I just love the way your back yard looks!

Thanks so much! I will definitely be posting something soon because we’re having the pond re-done with a new skimmer and bio filter.
