On Lacy Scarves and Other Life-Changing Events

I know, I know, I swore I wouldn’t knit any more scarves that have a ‘wrong’ side, but that’s the thing about lace and I just have to accept it. One of the recent designs from Ann Hanson is the Aria Delicato and I started it a few weeks ago. I don’t have a lot of time to knit right now – more on that later – but I will soon – more on that later too.

My Aria Delicato

I can’t wait to block this. It’s made of 100% Colorado-grown Cormo Wool from Elsa Wool. I wonder if it will bloom up and fill in the holes or not?

On life-changing notes, we’re moving. I know this will be a shock to the DeWalt clan (if they’re reading), but I can’t keep avoiding posting on the blog as this is my outlet. Send Mr. Man an email, a text, or call him and he’ll explain. You’ll be happy to know the first box packed was labeled Family Photos. Gotta keep those safe 🙂

Packing for the big move

The key is that we will be changing locations and right now, we don’t know where to. Luckily, we have flexibility through my remote work and that’s a blessing to be sure. It’s a very stressful time, however, and we’re feeling our way through it with care. We hate to leave this house, but it is just a house, not a life, after all. Our life is with each other.

On the flipside, if you’re looking for a lovely lodge in the suburbs of Colorado, we’ll have one on the market for ‘ya soon!

I’m off to Taos for a spa getaway. The stress is killing me.

Good luck with the move!! Having just been through that twice (once with the house, once with the business), I can relate. Smart decision, the spa getaway. 🙂

Ah thank you … we’re still hoping for an in-Colorado move up nearer to you. We’ll see! All prayers are to that effect.
