It’s official folks – we’re moving to California. The central coast of California, that is. And soon. Our house is now under contract with the first people who saw it – Yikes! And of course, we’ve been packing every chance we get. Even the craft room is packed up. 🙁
I really never thought I’d leave Colorado, but you gotta go where the jobs are, so we … we go.
Last week, we remembered we had a gift certificate to stay at the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort and we decided to use it right now. We called and they squeezed us in for a Sunday and Monday retreat. Thank you! We packed up quickly (this is becoming far easier these days) and headed out under blue, blue Colorado skies.
You know those road trips where you aren’t worried about timing? Those ones where you stop at the roadside stands, pull over for pictures, and even read those signs they have at the historic viewing points?
Yeah, neither do I. I’ve never had the frickin’ time! But, we did it this time. We pulled over to take pictures of Colorado buffalo.
We took way too many on-the-road photos through an only mostly clean windshield, and at one point I think we realized – even if we didn’t acknowledge it out loud- that this is one damn beautiful area and it’s gonna be really hard to leave.
More to come soon … must dry my eyes now. *sniff* Just wait until you read about the flaming margaritas. Yes, you read that right. We were shocked too!
