I feel like I’ve been off work for a month. Actually, I’ve been working … just not all the time like I usually do. My guy leaves soon for his new job and I’ll be staying behind to sell the house. We’re both sad about this – we don’t like to be apart and we’re ready to start our new life. So, we’ve been playing. A lot.
We’ve gone to all our favorite restaurants, had all our favorite meals, done all the things we would wish we had if we left without doing them.
Last week, the President was visiting the Air Force Academy and we go to see the fighter jets fly right over our house.
It’s hard as the dickens to get a shot of these guys – they are zooming all around so fast.
I’ve been knitting some socks.
And last night, I bound off the Aria Delicato – it’s as tall as me and that’s kind of my endpoint for a scarf.
This is knitted from the ElsaWool and it’s soft and lovely.
Of course all my blocking materials are packed, so this will have to get blocked after we move. I’ve rolled it up carefully and tucked it into a project bag for safe keeping.
Now, the house is just nearly empty and the garage looks like this!
We’ve a second showing today. They say they want to make an offer, but we’ll see if it’s a reasonable one. The last offer was way too low, so we turned it down. I’m just looking forward to our new start.
Maxi-boy is just happy that he can get on the deck when no one is looking!
