The house hunt continues …

At this point, it’s kind of like the never-ending saga and since you’re all in the ride with me (virtually, that is), I thought you should know the progress.

The house we really loved is now headed for litigation and foreclosure, so we’ve walked away. Now, we’re looking at this other house.

It’s got a nice big front door (furniture guys love us because we always pick the houses with big doors – makes it so much easier for them and I like to make people happy)

Another house to buy

It’s got a palm tree (which we kinda feel is important if you’re going to agree to live in California)

Another house to buy

It’s got a nice gas fireplace and it’s wired for surround sound

Another house to buy

It’s got three garage bays (very nice, we’ve got enough hiking, camping, etc. gear from Colorado to fill that third bay up quick!) and each with their own garage door opener

Another house to buy

It’s nice, built recently, never been occupied (poor lonely house), lots of room (separate office for me – yay!). So what am I worried about?

It’s on a weird lot.

A lot I think we can do a lot with, and there’s already a lot of landscaping and plants – a lot, but it’s still a weird lot (have I said lot enough yet?).

We’re seeing it again tomorrow. It’s Mr. Man’s first time, so we’ll see what he says – he might hate it, which would end the turmoil in my mind. He could love it and then, I really need to decide.

I kinda like this view of the front though, which is really the ‘back’  … I can’t explain it – the lot is weird. I’m wondering if I love it or not?

Another house to buy

Feedback is appreciated, in case you’re wondering.

It’s the road noise that’s giving us pause. The house is great. We can work with the lot, but the road noise … maybe not so much. We’re thinking about it some more.

You are so close to neighbors, can you get used to that along with the road noise and odd sized lot? if there’s a doubt, wait and keep looking. You’ve always been able to find a great deal and the perfect place. What’s another week or so. The Realtor will work twice as hard if they know you are going to buy once they find the right place. I loved the front door, the style, the 3 car garage and the back yard, except the closeness of neighbors. Who knows, you may end up liking it enough. Let Steve be the deciding factor. If it doesn’t work out you can always blame him! Ha! Love ya!

Oh you are mean … it’s the road noise that’s worrying us right now but our realtor also things there may be a way to get that house we love, so it’s up, down, up, down. We’re good at finding what we really want by waiting, so we’ll see.

Thanks for the encouragement! I love how everyone has been so helpful and involved in our crazy drama.

Love the house! It’s soooo California! As for the street noise, We lived three houses off the 6th Avenue west freeway in metro Denver before moving to Pagosa. We got so that we didn’t even notice the noise. It was sort of similar to ocean waves.

There’s still a chance you might get the the house????? Wow. Up and down is right. That is so frustrating.

You WILL buy the right house!
