Rain, rain, go away, come again another day – and somewhere else!

I hear from my friends in Colorado that things are hot and dry. No relief, and no moisture in sight.

I’m so sorry. All we’ve had for a full week, since we posted the sailing video last week, is rain, rain, and then pouring rain, followed by a little more rain. Everything is soaked. All of my jackets are hanging in spots to dry. There are puddles everywhere and someone told us that this is crazy – the rainy months are January and February. Oh good lord – what I have to look forward to.

It has prompted some rather difficult emotions too. No sunshine for 8 full days is hard on a Colorado girl. I like a little rain – it’s refreshing, but wow that much rain is a little scary.

Here’s a dreary set of photos from last week.

I don’t know – that chocolate cake and latte look pretty good. Yum! Santa Barbara is a pretty town.

Can’t wait to show you the best of it … I know you’ll go to the Botanical Gardens with me!
