Don’t wanna be your Monday morning … I want to be your Friday Night

Extra points if you know that tune!

So, last night we headed out to the Rideau Vineyard for an evening of wine and snacks. The last time we saw the vineyard was back in March – the very early part of spring – and it looked like this:

This week, we drove up to this!

Wow, what a difference summer makes … and the roses are amazing! Here’s a closer view.

So, we headed inside and got some cheese – lovely artisanal cheeses – from the buffet and headed out to sit under the shade trees with wine, of course! The event was for members of the winery and we had our favorites.

Viognier (a lovely white) for Mr. Man and Tempranillo (a lip-smacking red) for me.

We sucked those down pretty quick and got a second glass. We also picked up our wine club shipment – I like getting the shipment this way. So much more personal, don’t you think?

It was a great Friday night!

So, I am totally amazed! Where did the wall the vines or roses or whatever are climbing upon come from??? In the spring photo, there is no wall in front of the building!!! Help!

Sounds like a great way to spend Friday evening!

    Hugs,

I know – it looks like that, but the roses are climbing up the house and/or standing on their own.
