Christmas Parade Santa Barbara-style

So, I just found out they have a Christmas street parade in Santa Barbara – they even bring in snow machines! Why have I not known about this before? I have no idea. I feel like all I do is work these days. It’s exhausting and heart-breaking. It’s messing with my health and someone got a hold of me last week and asked me to put together an email marketing class, which I could do with my hands tied behind my back and do a really good job of it but who has the time? I know I’ve been saying this for awhile, but good lord I’m busy and I don’t have time to share all the really great things I know how to do with anyone.

What did I tell the lovely person who wants this class and says it will earn big bucks? I said, “I’ll think about it.”

We got the Christmas decorating done, which is a big improvement over last year when I was way too depressed about the job I had to take and I still really, really basically hate¬†don’t understand¬†and so I skipped decorating entirely.

We also went to the boat parade, which is how we really do Christmas parades in Santa Barbara – on the water.

At the end, there were fireworks …

Out on the wharf, it was chilly and so we were bundled up in hats and scarves. It was great to be cold and feel like ‘winter’ which I will forever keep in quotes as long as I live here.

With some great luck, I’ll have a weekend this weekend … and as usual, I’ll blog all about it.
