The stress of the new year and the local tragedies has me seeking comfort and anything that takes stress off. For me, that means healthy food, delicious wine, knitting and reading in the back yard. Plus, lots of yoga!
After clearing all sorts of dead branches and planting new flowers, the back yard is delightful even in the January fog.
The shasta daisies have gone dormant right now, but oddly, the baby begonias are blooming anyway.
Pots of color make things fun and bright.

Warm cups of tea and blankets. Knitting and books.
Finally, we were able to rinse everything off from the soot due to the fires in December. The rain that happened last week helped freshen things up too.
