Christmas Boat Parade in Santa Barbara

One of our favorite events of the Christmas season in Santa Barbara is the boat parade. We’re always cold and sipping something yummy with almost full winter gear – this year it wasn’t too cold – and we watch the decorated boats float out into the channel and then we see fireworks.

The sailboats are, of course, motoring but it still looks like fun. We have to consider getting one and decorating it next year when Owen is here.

It got dark quickly and so the photos aren’t great. This was a smaller boat all decorated for the parade.

Here was a kayaker braving the cold.
